Quotes about India:

"We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made." - Albert Einstein

"If there is one place on the face of the earth where all dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India." - French scholar Romain Rolland

"India conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border." - Hu Shih (former Chinese ambassador to USA)

All of the above is just the tip of the iceberg; the list could be endless. But, if we don't see even a glimpse of that great India in the India that we see today, it clearly means that we are not working up to our potential. And that if we do, we could once again be an ever-shining and inspiring country setting a bright path for the rest of the world to follow. I hope you enjoyed it and work towards the welfare of INDIA.

Yukti ji, thank you for sharing this beautiful information. Here is my favorite song with a similar meaning but expressed differently. I hope you will like it.

Jab zero diya mere Bharat ne, duniya ko tab ginati aayi,
Taron ki bhasha Bharat ne, duniya ko pehle sikhlayi,
Deta na dashmaal Bharat to, yu chaand pe jaana mushkil tha,
Dharti aur chaand doori ka andaaza lagana mushkil tha,
Sabhyata jahaan pehle aayi, pehle janmi hain jahaan pe kala,
Apna Bharat wo Bharat hai, jiske peeche sansar chala,
Sansar chala aur aage badha, yu aage badha, badhta hi gaya,
Ab Bhagwan kare ye aur badhe, badhta hi rahe aur phoolen fale,

Hai preet jahaan ki reet sada, main geet wahan gaata hu,
Bharat ka rahne wala hu, Bharat ki baat sunata hu,
Kaale gore ka bhed nahi, har dil se hamara nata hai,
Kuch aur na aata ho humko, humein pyaar nibhana aata hai,
Jise maan chuki saari duniya, main baat wahi dohraata hu,
Bharat ka rahne wala hu, Bharat ki baat sunata hu,

Jeete ho kisi ne desh to kya, humne to dilon ko jeeta hai,
Jahaan Ram abhi tak hain nar mein, naari mein abhi tak Sita hai,
Kitne paawan hain log jahaan, main neet neet sheesh jhukaata hu,
Bharat ka rahne wala hu, Bharat ki baat sunata hu,

Itni mamta nadiyon ko bhi, jahaan maata kah ke bulaate hain,
Itna aadar insaan to kya, patthar bhi pujye jaate hain,
Us dharti pe maine janam liya, ye soch ke main utharta hu,
Bharat ka rahne wala hu, Bharat ki baat sunata hu.
