i am new to this domain.
Currently I am doing project on topic employee satisfation survey in IT company. Can any one tell me how to analyse the data collected and also how to make it presentable.
please provide me with grafs and figure.

Hi Shewta,
Well there are two ways to analyse the same:-
1. By numbers & % of the response for each impt category..
2. Presentation by Bar charts would be ideal..for this you need to use the tool available in excel which is relatively easy ..highlight the area and use graphs tool in excel..
3. Analyse the data prior to presenting the same to Mgmnt in terms of authenticity and whether the response is appropriate with reference to the questionaire circulated and whether there is a scope of ambiguity or misunderstanding...

Dear Shweta,
Are you familiar with the SPSS software? I use it to analyze my survey data. However it might not be for you if you do not have knowledge of psychological statistics. The software website is and you could ask your company to sponsor you for training on statistics.
You might find it useful to do correlations and cross-tabs with your data to see what variables are related to each other, and thus might affect each other.

thanks but i want know on which area i have to analysze the data like on over all satisfaction ... or on specific area like appraisal , salary or work culture. pls provide me some input.

Hi Shweta,
You have not given enough info about your survey. For example, in another posting a student had conducted a open-ended survey with 7 respondents. In such surveys you can't really produce graphs and statistics. Even with quantitative surveys, a sample size of less than 10, though graphs can be produced, you can't apply statistical tests.
Hence, if you give more info I might be able to help you.

Apart from just computing percentage. Regression analysis, Factor Analysis, Attribute Sentitivity and Cluster analysis is very imporatant to analyse a satisfaction survey effectively. You would require SPSS software for these analysis
Need Help!
I am doing a project on an employee satisfaction survey which is entirely different the normal survey's I am asked to do a survey for the entity of the organisation whose function is to send the emplys to different countries on an assignment basis. The questionnaier designed for this is process specific. It is to get the good view of how the process which includes all the steps from preboarding to exit. At which step the management needs to focus. I am not sure how to go about it and prepare the report. As i dont have any parameter like payroll issues, work envrnmnt etc to measure and nothing to compare. So really dont know what to do.
Please help asap as have to submit the report.
Do sujjst how to analyse the data statistically using tools and what all do I need to add in executive summary in this specific case as have the report format, still not gttng what to write and what not to.
