Dear All,
One of my friend is working in a small software company as a Corporate Trainer, recently he got a govt job as a High school teacher in rural parts of Bangalore now he is confused which one to opt because few say that govt job is permanent and also gives security for your future and few says there no growth and money in govt sector so better to be in current company ? I need your advice and help......

Well..luking at the current scenerio...i dont feel that private sector provides anyway lesser rewards and compensation than any of the govt. jobs for a deserving candidate. Chances for growth are far better in private sector..
But above all, it is individual's choice...if he wants job security and not concerned about growth..this is a very gud option for him...But indeed both the things have their advantages and disadvantages..so luk in to your priorities and decide.

Hi Gururaj,
The decision is compltely your friends. If he want to go into achademics he can take up the offer or if he wants to join the corporate bandwagon then he has to take up the private companies offer.
Choosing a career is more important than deciding on the virutes of job security or better salary. Once you adapt a career it will easier to concentrate and improve at what ever your friend is doing from there on. Also the most important part is his personality where would he fit in best.

AJ

Well, the answer is not very difficult. If you are looking for money, go for private job, but if you are looking for job security, go for government sector. And if you are looking for these both as well as satisfaction, go for business sector.

I agree with the answer of 'Anonymous'. I, myself am working in the government sector and have previously worked in a private company, but I have not yet achieved the level of satisfaction that I have been looking for. Now, I am going to start my own firm. Here is a view <link outdated-removed>
