Dear All,
Actually, my Head Office is located in Delhi, and we have branches all over India. The issue we are facing is with our branch in Kochi, Kerala. We contribute the amount for ESIC for them and deposit it in Delhi. We also receive the ESIC cards from Delhi. My query is whether these cards can be used by the employees at their location, or do we need to register them at the local ESIC office in their area? If registration at the local ESIC office is required, what are the procedures and how can it be done? I kindly request guidance on the process from start to finish.
I am eagerly awaiting your reply.
With regards,

Hi Manmath,
Whenever you fill out the form for ESIC for an individual employee, you need to gather details of the hospitals where the ESIC cards can be used in their area. This way, the ESIC cards would be beneficial to them.

I want to know if one can avail the benefits from their local area if some hospitals come under the ESIC. Also, if we have to register our employees under the local ESIC branches, what will be the procedure.
Please reply to all as soon as possible.

Dear Manmath,
You need to obtain subcode for all your branches covered under the scope of the act (Applicability of ESIC into a particular area/city). The process of getting IP numbers from the respective Local Office needs to be arranged. The copy of RC should be submitted to the respective Regional Office of the ESIC to enable your employees to access the benefits of the scheme. It is advisable to submit/deposit contributions to the respective branches to avoid complications later.
Hope this information is sufficient to resolve your issue.
