hello everybody :icon1:
I am Shinjini. I am currently doing my PGDM.I am undergoing a summer training which is regarding performance management system i.e what methods are used by companies to appraise their employees.I have made a questionnaire and surveyed in 7 cos. now, m perplexed how to analyze the data since it is open ended. I cannot go for SPSS as the sample size is small.so,please help to accomplish my project.

Hi Shinjini,
Thanks for your posting.
You cannot use SPSS even if the sample is large, as you have done a qualitative survey.
How many questions have you got? You can do a content analysis to see if there are any similarities in the responses.
What is your population?
If you need any more assistance do drop a mail to giving as much detail about where you are doing the course and how much you know about Research Methods. You may also try and access the ppt presentation I have posted earlier on Research Methodology in response to another posting.

hi all,
i m smitha from kerala, i m doing main project in a newsprint manufacturing firm and i have selected the topic hrd audit.unfortunately i dnt hav a good guide 2 help me in this topic.let me tell the details that i hav collected.company has 1033 employees,i selected 100 for my survey, so sample size is 100, sampling technique used is stratified sampling, tools used for data collection are observaton , interview wih top level managers of hrm and an questionniare. for employees.so my doubt is , in data analysis part, can i divide it in 3 sections lik
1. wat i observed in hrd of the firm.
2. wat i got about hrd from interview.
3. wat i got from questionnaire.
also in my questionniare there are 37 questions, should i draw charts and tables for all of this or can i select important 20 questions and do. will u plz help me
