Dear All,
I am sure that CiteHR is now a known name in the HR side of business, with most of the HR representatives registering onto CiteHR, sending their queries, views and suggestions to the forum, making it a big success.
I would wish to put forward a suggestion to the CiteHR members, administrators etc...Why can we use this forum for some social cause as well. It is not a hidden fact that india is a country where the citizens below poverty line are a huge chunk of the total population. There are calamities which keep happening...be it natural or man made.
Now, since we are a huge team of HR professionals, we could do our bit to help the society... Lets identify a reason which we want to fight....and lets get our acts together....i am sure, we will be able to take our employees along-with us for the cause...
I would like to hear your views on this thought of mine as i am sure i am not the only one thinking this way.
Awaiting your response,
Regards,
Arun.

Arun though not a HR professional yet iam a student but can put my view here.
ur thought is really appreciable bcos when people who are like minded can do many things in less time.Have seen this happen in orkut too and with their social cause came out firsat ray foundation and now that group serves orphanages every weekend.
The same thought can be applies here as u said many in india are below poverty line there starts the problem from where we can solve. The major thing would be improving the literacy i think this would be a tough job bcos many of you are in good places where literacy is not a problem. But what i feel is educating people can erose anything. It can be bring a lot of diference .The next one would be i always think HRS are people with better hearts otherwise they cant do well so though this idea came a bit late but the initiative was awesome Arun and see the support u have nine posts so fast.
But one thing is for sure love and kindness can overcome money so any help oe social cause we make ,be sure that money counts less and love counts more.
Though iam a small kid infront of the people here but i loved the intiative so couldnt stop writting .Once again i tel u iam still a studet of MBA so if there are any mistakes take them lite.

another serous problem is old age homes .Our so called educateds are having no time to take care of there parents who have broought them to this level instead putting them into old age homes i dont go against this bcos old age homes also take care of people very nicely but at that age what they need is company and shoudnt feel like they are alone so i think this shoud also be counted like considering the oldage homes and make them feel like citehr is there for them and we are a part of there family too:icon1:
