Hi soms and Pradeep,
Even I was impressed with the parking space, but it is not possible to implement in my company, I was impressed with arranging one's table, may be we can do with Ballons, or Flowers on the occasion of one's Birthday/Anniversary/ Employee of the month. Pradeep I will try to contribute more like this, you can also check my other postings, you might be interested.

Hi all!
Nice thoughts....
It would be really nice if we could follow at least some of these in our day to day work life....would like to mention some good practices of my company in this context:
1) ARC - Awards, Recognition and Celebration; this is done on a monthly basis and people are recongnized and rewarded for different things ranging from achievement of targets to taking some initiatives...
2) Birthday celebrations - on someone's birthday all the people in office sign on a card and we give a packet of chocolates along with it to him/her in a gathering
3) Canteen - there's no demarcation in the canteen for workers and managers....everybody sits at the same tables....and everybody washes his/her plate after eating!
Would like to add some more points here....but I'm running short of time now....so maybe later....
Bye guys!

Hi Pramod,
Nice article.
Even though most of these Ideas are very well known and are practised almost in a day , but knowing them categorically is to be pondered.
These Ideas will motivate the employees in putting their best efforts.
Happy Postings!
Cheers,

Thanx Lalita for sharing your company's practice. Expecting more from you.
I am sure every one will benefit if every one share atleast one or two practices on Recognition which is followed in your company. Even if you feel it is common practice do share with us.
Sagarika, thx for commenting. It is indeed easy for us when it is categorically distinguished.

Hi Pramod,
Ideas presented by you are some very small things which actually makes a big difference in employee's life. These minor gestures make them feel recognised and generates sense of belongingness amongst them which in turn help in improving their level of productivity.
To add on to it... we can also celebrate their personal achivements like engagement, Marriage, child birth, purchase of car or a new house etc.
Suggestions provided by other group members are also noteworthy.
Thanks group.

Kaushik,
Yes you are right, they are very small when we look from employers point of view, but a major difference from employees point of view.
What I have come across is that , we can write down these on a sheet of white paper, To implement this effectively takes a lot of time! So do we need to appoint a seperate HR personell to look into these affairs regarding recognition etc.
