i have to conduct legal audit a steel manufacturing company. kindly help me by providing check lists of various laws applicable to various deptt.

You have to look into various statutoryenactments, under which every company has to register or follow the mandatory requirments as stipulated.
HR & Admn: Shall register under the following enactments: EPF, Graguity, ESI, Contract Labour, Shops & Establishment, Employees Standing Order, Environmental Laws, Factories Act and etc.
Finance: PAN, Service Tax, Professional Tax, VAT (registration and filing of annunal returns) , Loans from banks, BGs, LCs, Commercial and other finance related documents to be scrutinised.
Corporate: Incorporation certificate, memorandum of articles and association, Minutes of meeting, Share certificate and etc.
Operation: Regulatory Compliance.
Legal: Contract/Agreements, Litigations, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance and etc
Infact, as legal person of the company, you have to check with the activities of the department and coordianate them by helping in above said compliances.
