Hi Friends, I want to have a grip on Payroll methods...in my company i am looking after the payrolls, but all i do is manually, as my company strength is not too much so i do not face any problem as such, but i hv to know the methods as well..... I heard that there is Vlook up method for the calculation of payroll which big companys use........Do you have any example,or is their any other methods which people normally use?

Hi Members, Can anybody share how v & h lookup functions are used in payroll with an example. Also how is pivot table useful in HR job. Thanks & Regards, rakhi krishnakumar

Hi,
Please note that Vlookup is a formula in excel that helps you to find the data in a particular cell from another cell range.
For instance you have your attendance in sheet1 and the payroll details in sheet2, through vlookup you do not have to manually enter the present days from sheet1 to sheet2. You can check in excel help for more details on the same.
Hope this helps.
