Dear friends,
minimum wages revision in rajasthan is on cards.
Govt. had issued draft notification expressing intention to revise minimum wages in scheduled employments w.e.f.1st march 2008.
After considering objections and suggestions from all related quarters, Govt has decided to revise minimum wages as follows:
Unskilled-100/ per day
Semiskilled-107/per day
Skilled-115/per day
Final notification is expected to come out any day. it will have retrospective effect and has to be applied from 1st march.

dear Johny,Since the Govt. has issued the notification yesterday, the effective rates are same as mentioned in the earlier post. the rates are made applicable from 1.3.08.regdsanil kaushik

If the minimum wages are Rs 3144, then does the basic need to be 3144 for the purpose of calculation of PF and ESI or can the gross salary be Rs 3144? State being West Bengal
