Hi All
As per my company policy, newly joined employee will be entitled for 10 days of leave for the first year, it is not defined under any CL,SL, PL. Its a consolidated 10 days of leave.
One of our employee has taken 9 days of continuous leave because of illness. since he has already taken 5 days of leave, now he is running under LOP for 4 days. In this case, should i ask him to submit the medical certificate.
Also, I want to know "should we ask medical certificate to produced, if the employee is running under LOP".

Asking for Medical Certificate is not related to whether he has leave bal or not.
Since he has taken 9 days due to illness, you have to ask him to submit the Medical fitness certificate.
Depending upon his leave bal in his account, these leave are either with pay or without pay.
