Dramatix is a ‘drama’-based learning method in which teams learn via role-plays/street plays/movie-making. The format calls for participants to create, and enact scenes as prescribed by an overall script. While the script sketches the outlines of the performance, the actual scenes have to be ‘created’ the participants. While doing so, they learn various aspects related to the learning objectives.

The enactment is preceded by 2 hours of training and followed by 1 hour of debrief. Drama is an immensely satisfying and stimulating form of learning. This format involves group activities that are enjoyable and social. It brings down the inhibitions of people, and unveils their innate creative ‘child-like’ selves. Drama certainly has the power to entertain, but can it also change behaviour?

Over a series of studies, it was proven that drama can be an effective mechanism to educate and motivate. What happens is the experience stays with the participant for a long time: they talk about it to others, re-live the moments, and the combined effect of these leads to deeper etching on the mind. In addition, the combination of emotion and information during the enactment has a significant impact on personal commitment getting activated.

A day-long offering, it begins with a training on the topic, followed by drama preparation/enactment and debrief. We have three drama kits, containing whacky scripts, colourful props and video-taping and replay facility:

1. Campus to Corporate readiness (for batches of freshers)

2. Competency Building (for Individual Contributors and Young Managers)

3. Basic Leadership Skills (for Young Managers)
