    Hi Jagdish,

There are opportunities but arabian gulf countries have restricted expatriate employment in HR because local arabs preferred for HR because they are qualified in the western countries. Some contracting companies recruiting people from far east region few HR vacancies exist but experience doesnot go beyond one point. These are limited recruiting low paid workforce from fareast countries. These companies pay less. There HR managers are typical kerlayte fraudulent people who cameoflauge with fraud certifications they work on low salaries every where projecting themselves as Doctor and next day as Engineer and next month as Scientist or Chemist etc is very much prevelent practice the same man one day you will find work like scavanger collecting garbage from road side. Such people are large in numbers almost 55% many are deported for frauds cases back to Hyderabad and Kerla. Many of them we see on satelite Indian TV caught by Indian police practicing medicine and doctors after deportaion to India. I purpose of telling these long story is to know that nothing is perfect here but whereever its perfect its absolutely 100% perfect. so you have to either 100% fit or 100% unfit to survive here.

In Dubai situation is different mostly they preferred highly qualified HR professional for average companies its dosent matter who work for them as HR Manager even roadside tout is enough to act as HR Manager. But for MNC they want western qualified and experienced because western HR practices are different compare to Indian HR.
Salaries in Dubai are not affordable to live healthy life until you have excellent qualification and experience but Arabian Gulf countries have nationalization programme which legally bind employers to give priority to the local nationals and then expatriates so HR predominamtly belongs to Arab domain and western qualifications.

I hope the above circumstances so explained give you fare idea about situation here.

Its better to be expereinced enough to become competitive to challenge situation here market always pay for quality and strength whereever you work unlike Indian certification and institute branding farce here things more fare no one ask your institution or percentage marksheet you have to deliever thats only criteria to survive.

    Regards

    Sawant

    Hi Jagadish,
Are you a student that wants to do a project on Lean SS? If so, in which institution in Goa are you studying? I ask this question, as I am likely to visit Goa in late Sept/early Oct this year.
    Narasimhan
