Hi all!!

Greetings of the day! Without much furthur adieu I would like to put forward a query. I've recently got an offer as a Mgmt Trainee where the future envisioned to me looks promising..(hopefully)

The concerned organisation has put forward a on the job training programme whereby according to them my training schedule would be as follows:

1. Marketing: 1 month, where I would have to raise funds for the underprevilidged through cross A/C cheques.(Basically the organisation is working on behalf of a reputed NGO).

2. HR-Trainer: 2-3 months. After my successful completion in direct marketing I would be designated as a trainer whereby I would have to train and mentor around 4 trainees under me. Ofcourse the point is I too would have to carry out the field work till the duration is completed.

3. Finance/ Accounts: 1 month, where the mgmt will give me an opportunity to have first hand practical experience in Balance sheets n other financial tools. Again field work would be mandatory but as i am so told that the field work would be lesser...(??)

4. Administration: 1-2 months. Out here the organisation would help me in preparing as a manager who would be handling a team of 20 to 30 employees under me.. I guess the fieldwork out here is a little lesser comparitively.

After successful completion of this training programme(6-8 months altogether) as informed by the management, I would be designated as a BDM who would be allocated a office with 20-30 people under me as they have plans for major expansion in future.

Conditions:

1. No fixed salary, no conveyance. Purely on performance basis/ profit sharing basis.

Having said and done.., now the question is::

a. Is it worth to take a plunge in this career?

Currently after my MBA (HR) I am working as a recruiter n would be interested in HR/ Admin kind of job. As a BDM I can manage people under me, so, it suits my area of interest.

b. Is it ok to trust the organisation and the promises it makes? Our organisations strength currently is 45-50 employees including trainees, trainers and senior members. So will they allocate offices to every successful people!

I've done some research and found that this organisation is acting as a resource center to a reputed NGo (at National level) and is paid on a commission basis for the cheques it allocates on behalf of this NGo.

Bottomline:

Should I go for it, or not. Our organsiations website is www.cobragroup.com

or,

what should be the questions I have to lay before the Business head if I am to decide my course of action by myself.:icon13:

Hope my narration was understandable enough, ( if not please revert back for furthur clarification) and I am surely waiting for your valuable feedback/inputs to decide my next course of action......

Keep smiling (n dont forget to breathe):p

warm regards,
