From the past couple of days, I wanted to leave on time, catch the ladies special and reach home on time… but I kept missing it for a few minutes here and there, It has become a joke in my office, everyone teases me for gearing up and catching it... or at least trying to catch it.
I left on time to catch it and was about to leave when someone announced saying that I will not get it. and everyone commented... i asked everyone to shush...and walked straight out.
I reached station and there was 1 minute for the train to come. I was elated and decided to message one of my colleagues that I had reached the station and was about to catch the train. I started searching for my cell. I tried my best to find it, but couldn’t. I realized that I must have kept it in the office…It couldn’t be pick pocketed as I had just walked my way to the station. I took a seat and searched my bag again. I asked the lady sitting opposite for her cell to make a call to my office and she agreed. I called up my reception and told her to inform my colleague to keep it with her. Since I didn’t want to talk much, I thanked the lady. Thanking didn’t seem enough, and I think that it would be humiliating to give 1 Re. so I offered her my apple…she politely smiled and declined. Now I think that this was very funny…but didn’t think so at that moment.
Anyway, I missed my cell a lot. I was reading and I came across a word I didn’t know the meaning of. My N72 has dictionary… I missed my cell.
I had reached a station and didn’t know which station it was. My cell would have told me. I missed my cell.
I reached home and I have an alarm that rings at 9. it didn’t ring. Though I get annoyed by it everyday... I missed it a lot.
my early morning alarm didn't ring either...i missed my cell.
It was one of my friend-aunt's birthday...i wanted to wish, but i didn't have my cell...i missed my cell.
there was a point in my life...where i wouldn't have imagined that my cell would be so important to me.
i would have laughed if someone would have told me that this could happen
i really am sort of addicted to my phone. i like the ease with which i can click snaps...send msgs... i like the idea of having a cell..its a different story that i switch it off on weekends if i am bored...but i really missed my cell the other day.

| | Hi Sunayana, Few days back I too left my cell in my office and asked my peer to keep it with him.Cell has become such an inevitable and indispensable part of our life. After asking him to keep it I realised that it had my driver no. so I couldn't call my driver also.(As the cell was out of battery so I coudnt ask my friend to let me know driver number also)Some how I called my father from some one else cell and asked him to come over. Then while going back home I was thinking of many calls which I must have missed though i knew no body would have urgent work after office hours. Still thought kept rolling in my mind. When i got back my cell back the next day life seemed easy but it really made me realise its importanse. Can't thank enough its inevntor though i don know him or her.. Now its Roti ,Kapda makan and cell which makes life complete. |
