Hi Murali,
Maternity benefit is applicable to all female regular employees of any organisation.
If the Doctor is a regular employee of the organisation then she is defenitely eligible for the same.

Hello Friends,
Could you let me know what statutory laws are applicable in HR when a Indian Company is "MERGED" with a foreign company. This foreign company has made a company in INDIA as a pvt. ltd company and taken the existing company suo-motto.
Thanks.

Dear Madhujit,
Namaskar.
By this time you might be having a good collection of laws- bare acts as well as commentaries. May I like to ask you two questions?
1. Are you sure of legally what is right and what is wrong?
2.Can you be sure of legally what is right and what is wrong?

Dear Madhujit
There is a book named Labour Laws by H L Kumar. It is in two volumes. This book contains all the labour laws applicable in india.
Be cool while going through the book. If you have interest in reading law then this book will help you or if you want a superficial study on applicable labour laws in India , index of the book will give you an idea on this.

Anil Anand
