Hello friends,

Greetings! HR Sangam is a forum for HR professionals in Chennai with more than 400 members. It initially started as an offline meet of citehr and then has grown over the last two and a half years to this level. HR Sangam is back with its next meeting, which is scheduled on Sunday, the 19th of April 09 at 10.00 a.m
It is the season of Performance appraisals and what better time for HR Sangam to organize a meeting centered on Performance management. Taking stock of potentials and past performance will help in charting the course ahead especially in recessionary times for every organisation. Mr.P S Ganeshan, General Manager - HR, Shasun Chemicals & Drugs ltd would be speaking on “Performance Management”. Mr.Ganeshan holds a post graduation in management and comes with 18 years of rich experience in the field of Human Resources having worked with corporate houses like Murugappa group, Asian Paints, Ford Motors, and Reliance Retail in the past. A proven master in IR & personnel management over the past two decades, he enjoys sharing knowledge in HR forums and HR Sangam is only too happy to have him address us.

Greetings! HR Sangam is an association of HR professionals from Chennai. We started with monthly meetings of HR Managers in October 2006 and from about 20 participants, we have grown to more than 400 members today. We regularly conduct meetings on HR topics inviting various senior professionals from the industry. We had a fantastic monthly meeting on Performance management last Sunday which was appreciated by all the participants. From managing performance last week, the focus is now on managing oneself. We are happy to announce a special session on Emotional Intelligence scheduled on the forthcoming Sunday, the 26th of April 09 at 10.00 a.m

Most often, we are at the whim of our emotions than controlling them. Can our feelings be used as a ‘resource’? Aspects like visionary leadership, conflict management, collaborative work, change catalysis are all an outcome of strong emotional intelligence. From this perspective, Ms. Shyleswari M Rao, corporate trainer & Founder of Ved Vyas Inner Space shall be speaking on “Emotional Intelligence”. She has been a corporate soft skills trainer successfully conducting customized training programmes for over 12 years now. A former academician, she holds a post graduation in English literature and is now pursuing her internship with the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences. She has been a long time member of HR Sangam, and HR Sangam is only too proud to collaborate with her for this special session.
