Default City Groups - lets get started

Okay guys - I see that members are not really sure what to do with this forum so here are a few ideas.

The cite group forums are meant to help users organize events and make everyone notices them. This forums is meant for discussions specific to the city.

How does it help
A simple example is you know something which is happening or has happened in the city - you can post about it here to let others know. Another example is if you need any city specific help related to your work - then this is the place to ask about it.

How does it help you?
It helps to know that you will get help when you need it and where you can possibly find it.
You get updates from everyone about what is going on in the city if you do your bit and share what you know.

Thumbs up 'Skill Shortage' The Looming Challenge for India

Hi,

Here's One Interesting Article
'Skill Shortage' The Looming Challenge for India

NASSCOM Chairman Kiran Karnik speaks on the neccessity of education to have a quality workforce.

The NASSCOM-McKinsey Report 2005 suggests that the total addressable market for global offshoring is approximately $300 billion, of which $110 billion will be offshored by 2010.

India has the potential to capture more than 50 percent of this opportunity and generate export revenues of approximately $60 billion by growing at 25 percent year-on-year till 2010. The prospects for growth are highlighted by the report's estimates that the addressable market for global off shoring is almost ten times the present size. Keeping this in mind and looking at other aspects of demand and supply, the report concludes that the Indian IT and BPO industry can generate export revenues of $60 billion in 2010.
