CAN I ACCEPT THE UNFAIR CONDITIONS OF THE CLIENTS?
Hi friends and Seniors,

I am a Recruitment Consultant and I meet HR-Managers of the prospective clients.

My problem is that they all ask one thing that they already have consultants and that they will only give me the business if I give them rates lower than the minimum of industry standards which i feel would not be in the interests of the recruitment consultants community, so I refuse to accept that and in the end, I have no new business.

How do i tackle the challenges of the lower rates?

Pls advise as it is hurting my business very badly.

waiting for the solutions from the community,
Namitabh

Re: CAN I ACCEPT THE UNFAIR CONDITIONS OF THE CLIENTS?
Dear Friend

Majority of the big companies always go for "common to all" policy as and when they hire a consultant.

So there I dont think any as such issue arises.

Either you are sourcing local companies or some regional names......

And these local or regional brands they always negotiate on your terms and conditions.

So if you want to work with them, you don;t have any other option apart from negotiation.

With Regards

Re: CAN I ACCEPT THE UNFAIR CONDITIONS OF THE CLIENTS?
hi namitabh,

what the HR manager of prospective clients tell is 100% correct, business is business,,

urs must be a new consultancy not a renowned one like mafoi, etc,, and the client must be having good consultancies as their recruitment parterns,

being hr manager they also hav to look at recruitment costs,

atleast be happy that the HR manager was considerate enough to give u a chance to work, with their company..Bcoz when i already have a consultancies as client then why do i need to take ur services...

Anyways where it hurts u to work at a place and earn 10 rs instead of 15 rs, rather than not work at all... atleast u will get profit of 5 instead of 10.

so dont think that ur consultancy is popular that HR managers would offer the rates offered to renowned consultancies.

Now the situation is every tom dick and harry is set out and has opened a Recruitment Consultancy, so from HR Manager point of view , the problem they face is that they get the same resumes, from all consultancies, as all consultancies search naukri, timesjobs, monster, so its loss of HR manager as his job is not at all done.

Better start accepting proposals at a lower rate, else u wud have to close down business.. once u have established ur name , then u can increase rates,,

u should know all the rules and games of business,, u have to survive in this world, even if someone tells this is unfair the HR manager asking u to work for less rates, this is what is business, and its common. Even many HR of citehr, must be forcing candidates to join at lesser rates, and candidates do so because of their MAJBOORI (hindi word), So take it easy policy.

And there can be N number of reasons why ur not paid equal to other consultancies.

So dont call it unfair, because if u see there are many things that are unfair,
like my colleague and me joined at same time, but my colleague got promoted sooner , and me not, so because of this unfairness im planning to send my HR to HELL some day after office hrs, because what that **** HR did was UNFAIR...,, and when HR does unfair things to employees cant teh HR manager do unfair things to clients, consultancies,
