what is the role difference in HR generalist to Hr in general

As the designation suggest HR Generalist if the person who takes care of all activities of Hr such as payroll,Benefits& compensation, Provident Fund,Gratuity, Employee greivences ,Training etc. This is designation which exist in middle level organization operating in particular state & operations of whom are not numerically high.
