Default Very confused

Hello Seniors,

I ve just joined a reputed s/w firm as MGMT Trainee in the HR dept.
During my interview i was told i would be handling Staffing (which i am confortable with, the reality is i am sitting idle for the past one month, till now they havent defined me a specific task, they seek my help in all the HR functions and i keep spending my time learning all the latest in HR and googling few article.

I am being paid quite handsomely yet i dont have work to justify that.

I spoke to my reporting manager, requesting him to give me some work, he is trying to procrastinate the request.
Should i speak about this issue to functional manager or just wait patiently till they realise i am idle.

Anticipating a Reply from you all

Dear Viju

I am totally agree with Naveen.

You recently joined the organisation and as you said you are involved in all the functions of the department..........what else you expect............

Dont be impatient.........as you just started career.........might be your employer want you to first understand the system of the organisation and then only they ask for your individual accountability......
