Default suing previous company

Hi,
Around few years back, i had a bad experience with the company i was employed then. The company, that time gave me a contract letter for on site project. The clause in the contract letter was i can leave the company if the project dose not kick off on time specified in the letter. I left the company since the project never see the daylight. But the company refused to
give me relieving letter. They are completely ignoring the contract since the letter was not made on bond paper ( it was on company letter head).
I was planning to sue them that time. But I had to step back since financially i was weak and i was aware of the fact this kind of cases can get stretched for a very long time. But now i have enough money power and time. I was thinking to open a case against them. Do you think I can file a case against the company for the wrong thing happened to me?
Also suggest me the amount of compensation i can gain or loose out of this case.

Regards
Andy

Dear Andy,
One should look for bright aspect. Your money, time, power is not meant for dark age. Instead of suing the dead for you, pursue for the live projects you are having with you.
The compensation, after winning the case after long time would be little than you earn in investing your acquired money, time, power in new ventures.

Hi Andy,

I am sure that you can sue your previous employer and you must do it on the pretext of mental and emotional anguish caused to you by your employer, this might reach an out of court settlement.

Since both of you dont have strong cases, you have a copy of the letter head but if it has the stamp of the company then they are liable for the letter. While the company cant disprove owise about the clause since you still have the copy of the letter.

You must do this so that the company doesnt repeat the offence again.

Good luck on that.

Regards,

AJ
