Please guide me whether ESI is applicable for Sales Staff who will be appointed from our HO at Kolkata and thereafter they will be sent to other parts of the country and will have to stay there for a longer time.
Whether ESI is applicable to the above employees who will be drawing salary less than 10000 pm.
Also guide me if ESI is applicable to the above employees & how to maintain such ESI in this case. How the above employees can claim benefits under ESIC if they are posted outside Kolkata but registered under ESIC Act. in Kolkata.

If the Sales personnels are drawing salary not more than Rs 10000, then they are covered under the ESI scheme. If they are posted in branch offices situated out side the Regional Office of the respective State Insurance Corporation, then their name and details will be in the State where they are posted. Branches will have to send the returns etc to the Regional ESI Corporation's office with the details of the sales personnels working under them.
