Need a logical answer to this - Holi Hai !!!

Why do people say Holi Hai when they know its holi? why don't they say Diwali Hai or Christmas hai or Id Hai......

I sincerely request all of u to do some serious research on this and help me come out of this curiosity which is with me since childhood.

"holi haiiii"..was used in some old hindi song, since then people scream and say so??

We say this because " rang laga rahe hai tumko.....bura na mano - Holi hai!!!!"

So dont get irritated or angry kyunki HOLI HAI!!!

you have to forget all enemities and enjoy.

This is a good doubt..actually it is to consol people on whom we throw colors /water and telling them that see," in diwali we cannot throw burnin crackers on u, colors/water is much safer than that !!so dont mind, thank god its holi"

May be, because when you sprinlkle color on some one unknown to you and if he is likely to get angry, just requesting him to cooooooool down by telling "Holi Hai"
