6th DELCH Meet at YMCA

hey all,

it was a pleasure to be a part of the 6th DELCH mEET. WHOEVER WAS PRESENT THERE KNOWS THAT THEY CANNOT UTILISE THIS TIME IN THE BETTER WAY THAN TO ATTEND THIS MEET...

HEREBY I AM PUTTING THE MINUTES OF THE MEET.


[size=18]It was a marvelous evening as it was the eve of 1st march, 2008, when the DELCH MEET was scheduled from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs. Neha malhotra was first to reach the gates of YMCA Hall, the Venue of our 6th Meet. Anuradha and Meha joined soon and within minutes a lot of members made their kind presence. The members present were:

· Chitra Anand

· Amaresh Anand

· Neha Malhotra

· Meha Pushyami

· Komal Singh

· Manjusha Verma

· Gaurav Goel

· Anuradha Das Gupta



The meet started with the introduction of the members as the group has seen a lot of new faces. There were few employees of BGIL. This time BGIL had sponsored the meet.



After we are all through with the introduction, Gaurav made his presentation on "Emerging recruitment practices: past & future". We were all eagerly waiting for his presentation as the last time we could not have his presentation. There were many dynamics of recruitment which he covered and concepts like war footing and guerrilla recruitment were discussed. We were all enlightened by the fact that recruitment practices are changing with time. The presentation was fabulous and it will surely help us in our future HR endeavour.



After the presentation, there was a small presentation by Sumit Jain, CEO, BGIL on "Unified Identity Management". He talked about the products & services his company offers and gave us an insight as to how the offerings can help any company.



After the presentations, we moved on to discuss the objectives of the group as per the agenda. It was good to see that new members too came forward to take the charge. It was decided that the coordinators will keep on changing on a rotational basis.



All agreed on the objective of the group as it is an open forum. Thus it was decided that from next meet onwards, the agenda will be as follows:

Ø Introduction

Ø One presentation so that everyone can contribute to the forum.

Ø Query session

Ø Q & A/ Discussions



The team coordinators for the next meet are

Ø Komal



Looking at the continuing problem of Venue, Chitra agreed to ask the YMCA if they can give the hall in advance. It will help everybody to plan their schedules in advance and we may see bigger participation in the next meet.



In the last it was discussed as to promote the brand DELCH. Various strategies have been pondered over and it was decided to work on them gradually.



Over all it was an excellent meet and whoever missed it has lost a lot of knowledge to gain. After all



"KNOWLEDGE SHARED IS KNOWLEDGE SQUARED".[/size]

Yesterday i had spoken to rajesh and i have suggested him to give presentation on LEADERSHIP SKILLS .He had agreed on that and i m going to start a new thread on yahoo group. pl requesting u all to respond on that thread.

Dear Members of the Delch team,

Thanks for the minutes of Meeting.

I hope we will all be posted about the next meet you all are going to organise. And there was a lot of confusion about the dates for the last meet, I would request the communication to be more clear this time.

Also it is just a suggestion if we can use this forum of CITEHR for communication rather than yahoo group,as there are many members who may not be availble on yahoo group but would like to be a part of DELCH MEET.

I can write all this on the basis of my past experiences in Organising and arranging Delhi Citehr offline Meets.

Hopw you all will agree with me.
