Accept offer? kindly guide me

Hi frds,
i'm working for a corporate concern in marketing dept. searching towards better scope i attended an interview in a group company where i got selected. the profile offered was too gud and also in the operation side which i liked the most. at the time of finalization the proposed pay was 18 k and on negotiation it was fixed to 20k. the concern was purely proprietrship concern and at the time when i was about to get the offer letter HR said, the pay has been fixed to 16k which is with respect to certain percent hike in my current ctc. what i felt is there is no professional ethics being followed in the concern. what shud i do further? the profile offered is my dream profile. but i'm not sure about the reputation of the company. kindly guide me..

This would completely depend on your aspirations.

If you still have enough time to wait for a good profile to happen then its just alrite let this job pass by & if you believe that how much ever you wait you are not goona get this kind of profile better take it.

There is a catch going after a dream profile if you are not happy with your work then its too difficult to shift jobs as you might be hired at a higher position than you deserve currently and hence work life balance cant be attained.

What i would suggest is continue working where you are and check out for a better profile, since you are looking into a HR position, BPO might be another sector which generally require quite a lot of HR personnel. And later shift from there to a generalist role in HR into a good corporate.

The only problem working with a propritorship is that there are never definite rules laid and hence even the owners are not sure where they would go the next month.

In your case you have to decide what you want. Is it the profile or the money. What I found in you case is you are more intended towards the job profile than the monetary aspect, reason being if money would have been a factor than you may not even think about it as the difference is quite well.

What you should do before joining such Company just di a little bit of R&D with the Company reputation from the market, through net, interection with some present employees. Because it should not happen that once you join that Company you just leave that within a month or two.

What is giving an alert was that they promised 20k and issued a letter for 16K

This is not keeping up the promise and there is no ethics in this.

If I am already in employment evn foer a lower salary, I wont get myself traped here

I am a sufferer. I was earlier working in a Ltd. company. Last year I got an offer from a prop. company with my dream designation and salary. I joined giving a day's notice to my previous employers. Soon after joining the new company, I realised that it was a blunder leaving my ex company. I am now jobless and my career is at stake.
Since, you are about to sail in the same boat, my advice to you is not to join a company which doesn't even has a strong base and which doesn't keep its commitment.
