I think you are falling into a long laid fallacy of money buys happiness. It is the other way round. Happiness is that kind of mental state that you could achieve it despite any odds in your life and the least hinderance to happiness is money!
I think you should take a break, get your priorities right, introspect and then face the world again. You are beginning to fall into the pressure tactics by your own people. you cant blame them either as the widely judged definition of success is money. Don't worry. If you are happy in your job stick to it. All the best.

Even I have got the same advice for you as all our CITE HR pals had replied to you. Money is not an important factor. You should work because you love the work and NOT completely for money. When you work,do work with all your heart and soul and please..please don't work with the love towards money.
You said that you are compleltely satisfied with your job.In what ways are you completely satisfied with the job? Suppose I gave you an employee satisfaction questionnaire with questions related to compensation and benefits what would be your response towards those? just ponder over it.If you had given a negative response,it means that you aren't satisfied with your job with respect to compensation and benefits. The most important thing is that you always have to compare with the outsiders who are holding more or less the same post as yours and that too working in the same industry and NOT with the ones who are in an entirely different stream.Thats the biggest mistake you are doing. If you find that the pay packet is less when compared to the outsiders working in the same industry, then you should put the matter to your boss and if that doesn't work out then try for another job.
Be at ease,my friend.
RGDS,

The point is how long you want to be in dilemma? If you dent check on it you'll start enjoying being unhappy! money is important, yes. Cant you keep your job and make money too? There are so many means of earning extra income. Try out new avenues in making money staying in your job. come on. don't be a cry baby. Nobody can take a ride on you unless you want them to. As i told you take a break. Discuss this with your people in a calm mind. All the best.

In HR, it will really take some time and a lot of hardwork before you get the salary that you want. It is not a high paying job. I think most HR Professionals are passionate with what they can contribute to the company's growth and not how much they will get from the company.
You are probably confuse right now because of what other people are telling you. A piece of advice: always remember that people are unique and different. If something makes other people happy, it does not follow that it can make you happy as well.
Follow your heart. At the end of the day, what should count is still what you think and what you feel is right. And though most people might say that the adage "Money can't buy everything" are just for losers, I still believe in it because it would never be able to buy you the satisfaction that you get from your job (that is if you are really happy with it.) |

One thing is we should be Positive!!!
I think you know your Career Goals before you started your professional career, if not atleast you might have framed your goals after getting into this feild. keep that in your mind and work towards to reach that goal.
Never compare yourself with others atleast people who are in diffrent domains.
Each domain will have +Ve & -Ve. Salaries are purely depends on the performace and roles of the person. No company will give salary without considering role and performance. Even HR professional will get competitive salaries once they perform well and get good experience. don't bother much about sarary at initial levels.
Software people do have certain targets, presures etc.
As a HR you will get more respect than the other professionals. Keep that in mind and move towards your goals.
Thanks,
Rajesh. |
