Hi Saakshi,

If I understand corectly, this summer training would be specifically in the HR domain;if that is true then I think you should certainly go for it.

I have worked in HCL BPO for 1.5 years: as a caller; the presence and functions of HR there are tremendous.

Infact I just completed my PG in HR from Symbiosis and am trying hard to get a break in HR in some corporate which is proving to be very tough: my advice to you would be that if you do get an opporunity to work in the HR department in HCL, then go for it: it will certainly help you in your career later on.

All The best.

hi

saakhi nice to see that you are getting information from this initial stage from your seniors.

but i would recommend instead of undergoing a project at structured HR industry, i can suggest you can make an initiative to attend a project where you can learn various things where HR is not yet set.

it is always better to work in a adhoc manner industry rather than a systemised industry of HR at initial phase, so i can suggest u pls check with some of such type of industries where you can get exposure, where you can really built your knowledge.

Hi saakhi,

In the BPO division of HCL, the usual timings of the HR department are from around 1:30 PM till about 10:30 PM; so it is not really a night shift you see.

I have not been able to get into a generalist profile as a fresher in HR field and recently just joined an IT company as IT recruiter - Trainee: the scope in that field too, is good; however, if you are getting a chance to attend a training job in a generalist profile in HCL BPO then I would recommend that you go for it. HCL is a good brand name and there lots and lots of constant openings in the HR division so it would be to your advantage if you go for this summer Training.

Regards,
Romil
