Hi All,

Check out this Personal Income Tax Calculator and provide your feedback. Just enter your salary particulars and amount of your tax saving investments and know the Tax Payable by you in FY-08-09 according to the new provisions laid out in Budget 2008-09.

Error in calculator. It should deduct the "Interest Paid on housing loan", from the gross income but it actually add it. Please modify the calculator.

What is the reason behind asking for votes for information that is not shared? Or is it a way of getting people's email ids?

You can put minus symbol and the amount on relief on housing loan interest then you will get the correct and actual calculation

Hi Richa,

It was a deliberate attempt, because the post was getting a lot of Views, but no one was commenting or providing feedback/improvement suggestion for the XLS Calculator.

Malkesh was the first to point a valid ERROR in the XLS. I have rated him 5 stars for his input. Keep it up man!!

You are right this is a platform for sharing, by sharing it means two way sharing not one way! any ways now that you have raised a concern I have attached the XLS in my previous post. Go ahead and try it out.

AND... don't forget to write back in case you encounter any ERROR or ISSUE in it. Will try to fix it and post back the XLS.

Like PF amount getting reduced while calculating the tax, the professional tax deducted from the employee will also be reduced while calculating the tax.
