consultancy or corporate? What do i choose??

Hello seniors,

I'm currently doing my MBA & have taken HR as my specialisation.. I graduated in BE(IT) from pune university..

I have got a summer project in an MNC which has a very good brand name but the project is of finding the salaries given to management trainees by other MNCs ie. their competitor MNC in the year=2005,2006 & 2007.

Is the project good to start my career with.. or i should take up a project from some consultancy..

Please pls help me!

Hi

I just mad an observation about the project. Collection of information at the lowermost level will not give you much insight.At the most it will help you to be a good recruiter.

Look at some project which helps you to understand some processes

Hi Aarti,

According to my point of view, its a good oppurtunity for you to step into HR. See by doing a project/survey in stuffs like this you will gainning an extra knowledge which indeed will help you in future. And as far as your project is concerned, i better suggest you to do it in a MNC because their you will be dealing with n number of people and traniees.

Well, consult other HR's too, may be you would get guide by an expert.
