Working hours for female employees
Dear all,

As per The Goa Shops and Establishment Act, 1973 and Rules, 1975 the orking limit for female employees is up to 7:00 PM.

Is there a ruling on the above. If yes where is it available?

And can anyone give me a soft copy of the above mentioned act.

Regards,

Viraj

Re: Working hours for female employees
According to Shops and Commercial Establishment Act which have been enacted by the respective state Govts., no women can be asked to work after 7:00 PM and before 8:00 AM except the orgnizations which are related to recupement of health i.e. hospitals etc. The rules and regulations under the State Shops and Commercial Establishment Act in this regard are enforced. You can had a soft copy by browsing the same from the your state Labour & Employment department website.
