Basic Salary increment Vs Package Salary Increment
Hi all, Fortunately I just got my 9% increment, however, it was written within the letter I received that "9% increment on the basic salary", so I asked someone that it should differ if it was on my package salary but he responded that "both cases will result with the same total!!"

I dont get it, if my basic salary is X and my package (After allowance addition) is X+3000, how would both be the same??

Hope some one will help and thanks in advance

Re: Basic Salary increment Vs Package Salary Increment
An increase in basic has impact or rise in the following.

If you receive 1 time basic as LTA or Mediclaim annually, this adds to it.

The company contribution of PF or Super annuation also gets included into it.

So you can detemine your net rise in percent accordingly.
