Dear all,
A client of mine wants me to conduct a salary survey for the consulting industry in India. My company doesn't have an expertise to conduct salary survey but would definitely like to try our hand in it. Could you please tell me how we should go about it? I need to know which model or methodlogy would be appropriate knowing our capabilities.

Dear Ashish,
Firstly depending upon the industry in which you want to do the survey, kindly identify the ORG rating of your client company. Based on the ORG rating , identify 10 companies below/ above your client's ranking also based on their equivalent turnover.
After identifying the companies, identify all key positions. You can then either from your fellow placement consultants find out the salary offered for each position if they are your clients.
OR if you have an access to any Job Portal database, you can easily find the salary of all positions in those companies.
Hope this will be useful.....
Do let me know if this helps you or if you have any better idea.
Thanks...Mona
