Please refer Occupier's def under Section 2 (n) of the Factories Act, 1948. Occupier is generally an officer who is in overall control of the organsiaiton. For an organisation owned by a company, a director may be occupier, partnership any partner. But manager has to be appointed by this occupier for the purpose of this Act. It is obligatory to appoint both and send their names to Directorate of Industrial Health and Safety at the earliest. |
