narayankg Started The Discussion:

I would like to know how is the gratuity payout calculated. I have heard that its 15 days of pay based on your current pay structure. Not too sure....

Gratuity formula is as under Basic + DA at the time of leaving *15 * number of years of completed service / 26 Siva

Thank you Siva....Would DA stand for daily allowance? In other words, is it total cash component ( CTC minus retirals ? )

DA stands for Dearness Allowance. It may not be there in in BPOs or it may not be paid at senior levels It is paid to nutralise inflation Daily Allowance does not attract gratuity or PF or Bonus Siva
