hi,
i am a siftware engineer (female)working with birlasoft.
my previous employeer was Hcl infosystem.(from 12 apr 2007 to dec 2007)
actually i am bit confused about the tds. my previous package was 2.64.
the salary structure was.
Monthly
Basic 11000
Hra 5500
conveyance 800
special Allowance 4700
pf 1320
total 22000
net 20680

i didn't pay any tax in my previous job(they hadn't dedected any amount from my salary except pf).
now by the 21st of jan2008 i have joined Birlasoft here my package is 3.5lacs
the salary structure is
Monthly yearly
Basic 11667
Hra 5834

LTA 11667
Pf 16800
Medical Isuurance 5698
Medical reumbarssment 15000
Other variable 7569

Biralasoft dedected tds on monthly basis. So plaese tell me what amount of tds will be deducted from my salary on monthly basis(i am a female). what i can do to avoid this tax
