Workers Participation in Management has been in paper for quite long time. But many who have tried in practice have faced the consequences too. Its significance, of course, cannot be ruled out. Still, workers may be participated in the functional areas only after careful studies of their attitude and behaviour. Some what arrogant workmen may be a problem always. The thing is to be decided by the management.

Statutorily, Standing Orders of the company are framed in consultation with the workers. This can be the first step to ensure their participation. Similarly, an establishment employing 100 or more workers is expected to have a Works Committee as per the provisions of Industrial Disputes Act. Since this be mandatory, a WC which consists of equal number of participants from employer and employees will form their participation in management- to the extend of settlement of disputes and dis agreement.

I think the attendance register is Form 22 and not Form 25.

Madhu well on 10th Feb i have to appear for SAIL admin exam.Will this PPT be sufficient to study as there will be 100 questions of professinal. so do u have any idea what to study for exam, if u have then pls do reply.

Hai Ashita,
I am sorry I don't know what exactly a recruiter asks in an interview. But I am preparing some MCQs on matters relating to labour laws, perhaps of some use to those who prepare for interviews for the post in HR Deptt,. I shall post it soon. Therefore, keep watching !!!

The PPT is expected to be a spot reference without much complicated legal language/sentences of section, chapters, clause etc.

Dear Sujan,
The Rules which give the prescribed forms and procedures of the Act are framed by the respective State Govts. As such there may be difference in the form Nos. I have followed the Kerala Factories Rules, 1957 in which form 22 (prescribed under sub rule(2) of Rule 127) pertains to Half Yearly Returns and Form 25 (prescribed under 130) pertains to Muster Roll- attendance register.
