please let me know the basis of competency mapping and can we introduce Competency mapping in retail company

you need to know the job profile or the job description to map the competencies in the organisation.
the basic platform for the competency mapping is
- have to have the inputs, from a star performer like what are traits needed for that exemplary performance.
- from the supervisor or the immediate boss
- the pre-requisite of the job in the industry.

u need to list them and make an integrated analysis on the traits, that you have taken from the above said sources.
