This is so touching

I was just chatting with my IT manager how we used to have fun during our school days without any toys or stuff, let alone be electronic ones...

We used to play cricket until darkness made the ball invisible, roam around in neighbouring LIC colony (at borivali ) for raw mangoes and tamarinds, ran through the corridors of school during recess, played football during monsoons....flip ! These memories are so priceless..

cheers to them

really true sari,

there was a time when we were more close to nature, had more love in our hearts, and were simple, I feel very happy that I did almost all things which was mentioned, but feel sorry for the small kids of todays generation that they would not be able to enjoy those little things which bought us ultimate happiness at that time.

Buying berries, tamarind at 25, 50 paise and nibbling them....
eating ice golas, [nowadays all look at it from hygeine point of view]

playing in sun, [parents dont allow now]

running here and there, not caring about our shoes, clothes, chappals.
playing with tyres ....

playing cards, business, all summer vacation,,,

playing cycle, learning to cycle, playing with dogs inspite of scolding from parents...

exclusively waiting for summer holidays which mean two to three months of full fun, eating and playing.. and no touching a pen or book..

and much more memories... are there,,

Thanks Nikki, Ravi,Modesto, vimla..for your comments...

Well said Ravi..they are so true.....scorching sun running barefoot, eating golas in the summer, the happiest summer holidays...
jumping in the rain, playing in the mud, stealing guavas when the owner of the tree is not around...enjoying each and every festival, following all the rituals...

it is so diff now, really the kids are so pressurised with work, all became so plastic...no play grounds, health consciouness food, sterilised plates,i was shocked when i heard about parents interview before kids admission in PLAY SCHOOL....i wondered when my daughter cried for A/C when there is no power in summer.......i never had such problem for we used to sleep under the neem tree at my granny's place, we used to enjoy watching the stars and stories about them by my granny.....those are the GOLDEN DAYS....and can only be in our memories now......
