Is it possible to change industry?

Hello Everybody,

I am in IV semestr, MBA (HR) looking for a job. My preference is pharmaceutical or biotech industry. If I start job in any other industry say IT, then is it easy to change to Pharma or biotech after a year?

For a few more years, if you get trained in recruitment in any industry, yo can shift. You must get exposed to Campus recruitment and mass recuitment

I am vishwa sehgal the Head Human Resources for an international BPO. I have done assignments with IT firms as well.
See changing industry is like adding a new dish in your meal. It may be okay to say that you can change the industry, lot of people do but the fact behind the same is, once you would be used to of one industry patterns, it is generally hard to change and you are deciding to move in IT and then change. Had there been a vice versa situation it would have been easy.
I think IT is challenging.

yes,

u have prefered choice to shift the industry to equip different knoweldge and skills. any industry will welcome u but as one os the friend said it is best to start with recruitment.
