Would there will be any problem if i terminate employee, if he do not accept transfer to another department.
We have an employee whose performance is off the mark and dont follow company policy some times.... we want to transfer him/her to another department so newly hired employee dont follow his/her footstep and we dont have to hire another person for vacant post. but he/she is not agree with it. what if i will give him/her a month notice for termination. will it be a problematic to company???
Do nice people finish last? - your comments please
Someone said " nice people finish last." whosoever said so perhpas missed the real point altogether. he or she couldn t understand that nice people are generally not part of the race at all. so being first or coming last cannot be their focus. not that they don t participate in races; only they shun the races being fought on the ground for they always live on a higher plane. tell me folks what do you say? and what should be the true definition of being nice? for me it s simple not to harm any one in any way for personal benefit. living a life of integrity without expecting anyone else to follow the same and to contribute your best in whatever you do for achieving positive results which will manifest in something good which would give a feeling of comfort. that s it
Company sacking me (not following code of conduct) - helping employee with money (small loan)
Sometime back i helped a junior employee of company by giving him 10k as loan on returnable basis. when hr come to know of this hr say that i am doing money lending business. i show my account details and they come to know nothing is fishy. now they put allegation on me that i dont follow the code of conduct that says if i give or take money from or to any employee i should bring to the notice of my reporting manager. i told them i have not received any code of conduct but hr say that it is stuck on the notice board in common area and if i dont see it that is not hr problem. i also come to know that they want to sack me for such a small thing by saying i dont follow code of conduct. what do i do should i resign or wait for them to sack me then go to labor inspector and complain against company.

Termination while in overseas
Hi there i am wondering if an employee be terminated if she doesnot give prior notice and moves overseas on her own and sends in a resignation letter. according to me it is just recklessness towards work/ anauthorised absence to work and taking client project/support for granted. unfortunately i dont have any supporting policy that underlines for termination if ran overseas. but i find that this recklessness should not be left unpunished since i dont run an ngo and try to just be good and nice to everyone. pls. share your views on this. lets analyse
