Project Manager salary in IT

Hi ,
Can someone please let me know whats the band in which Project managers of teir 1 Software companies are paid. Ref to compnies like Wipro, EDS, Infosys etc

10 to 12 lakhs on ur experience and qualification
7 to 8 lakhs on ur experience

Ur previous package is also very important in determining how much u can fetch

Hi:

Salary vary according to regions/technology/domain/experience & education too.

Generally thumb rule set is 1 to 1.2lakhs per year of IT experience. So if anyone is with 8yrs of experience then the salary could be somewhere between 8 lakhs to 10* lakhs (Based on the location / Technology and other parameters)

Also as Rupa suggested last drawn salary is also important in deciding the salary.
