But even now I have a doubt plz help me with this...
How do people get special rankings and rankings on the forum?
Who allots the ranks and on what basis?

I mighte be sounding a bit rude or dumb but I am really curious to know this so if any of the senior members coulld reply back, it would be great.

Hi Sonit,
Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear that you had a tough time getting used to the system. It's those nuances which keep the sp@mmers away or we would be left with endless queues of messages reading "Work from home and give us your money" or "Buy this and spend some more."

Regarding your questions:

How do people get special rankings and rankings on the forum?
There are some basic ranks which are awarded automatically when users hit a certain number of posts. I award some special ranks for exceptional contributions. Occasionally some of the other senior members also suggest members who should be awarded ranks for certain contributions to the knowledgebase.

Who allots the ranks and on what basis?
Most of the ranks are automatically awarded but some special ranks are awarded by me and sometimes suggested by senior members. All ranks are awarded based on contributions to the knowledgebase.

Regards,
CHR
