Dear Hassan,

Admin is a part of HR and its not the vice versa. Its definitely not fair in the part of your organization to do this.

Dear Sender
It is a bit difficult to learn HR activities by admin.guy.
If your management insist that admn. guy has to look after HR gamut, then they are resnponsible for the pros & cons for the IR/ER related issues.

Thanks Sathiya, you are right.

Thanks L.Kumar, but it is very haed for some one who knows nothing about HR and have to all the HR issues.

My current Admin. Lady is also very weak in Administration. I already took half of her burden as well.

Dear Hasan

It is you and only you, who has to take a decision on such matters. If your organisation has taken a decision, you got to accept it. If you dont accept, then you got to quit. Noone else can give a solution for this.

Instead of saying the lady does not know any thing about HR or saying the lady is weak in administration, you must introspect and analyse your weaknesses. and strengths and build on your strengths.
I am sorry if I had been harsh to you. All of us have faced this issue i n our life and we never discussed this in open forum We accept and quietly look for change
or turn things in our favour by showing patience

Good luck to you and probably other seniors may agree with me on this subject

Siva

Dear Siva,

I am 100% with your views..

Actually, i already put my resignation and i am trying to cool my self down by sharing.

by the grace of God, i have other options and inshallah i will join on 1st of JAN.

I am just wondering, how cruel this professional world is?

Things which we are habitual to doing woith others, also happened to us..... tit for tat

Anyways, thanks a lot for your thoughts..

HASSAN

No Sivasankaran, what u r saying is not right. Some day the fire will come to our door also. Admin and HR are totally different aspects actually. In admin you need not take into accord the human factor but HR is all about HUMAN.
Do you know what Mr Narayan Murthy has said about his assets - My assets are not immovable property but they are movable and they daily pass through the gate. Thats where the business is heading. Human is a very important asset to any organisation now and HR has evolved around this factor only.
In many companies it happens that the management as a result of some Cost cutting decisions come to such conclusions. Firstly we must educate the management about the hazards of putting such an important responsibility into inexperienced hand. Secondly (which i think is more important) instead of nurturing a negative feeling against the lady administrator you need to help that team member of yours who is not quite efficient in this skill set. This will lead into a good team building and will show your positive approach along with a new resource development.

Smitaa
