hi i am neha from faridabad i am working as a personnel manager in a limited firm.

i want to know te difference between salary and wages? i mean defination of salary and wages.

Hi Neha,

Salary and wages are the same terms used in different circumstances.

The workers who work are paid wages and we as professional people get salary.

Basically on a lighter note people working physically are paid wages, and we who work mentally are paid salary.

Wages paid to blue collers workers & salary paid to white collers officers.

Wages paid to workers & salary paid to staff.

Salary is basically paid on monthly basis wages are either daily rated or piece basis rated(for calculation resons only)

i have one querry
1) I would like to leave encashment one of our staff member(Monthly rate)
Basic is RS 5000/- P L balance is 30 days
2) I would like to leave encashment one of our barganable worker (Daily rate)
Basic is RS 5000/- P L balance is 30 day

Kindly guide me how to calculate leave encashment.
