Default Problem of Not Joining

Dear All,

I am working with HR Consulting Firm ,based at Gujarat. We are Basically into Recruitment & Manpower deputation/ Outsourcing.

We are basically into IT, Pharma, Engg & In financial vertical.

The main problem in this Kind of Industry is the joining of candidates. candidates are taking the Offer from their Prospective employer & they do not the company at the last. This is main problem as far IT Recruitment is concerned.

Some times they keeps more than one offer & keeps negotiating with other company. I think this is not fair & professional.

i am not able to understand how to deal with this kind of cases.
As Being HR profession How one suppose to deal with this kind situations.

Please let us know how should i Deal with this situation & What corrective actions i have suppose to take.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Sanjay,

This is a very common issue in HR. All we can do is regular follow-ups and as long as possible pacify the candidate to take up the offer in the respective concern.

Dear Sanjay,

You should actually have a clause of acceptance or a last date of joining in the offer letter. And this joining date should be decided by the candidate. Ensure that the person joins you before the joining date and if s/he does not join then the clause in the offer letter will get invoked automatically and the offer will become void.

You can plan out something like this and re-draft the offer letter having the above provisions.

Hi

Check the interest of the candidate at first talk itself.
check what candidate is looking for.
Never Pressurise the candidates if they are not interested in beginnig itself, such candidates wil never join.
Screen the candiate at first or second go itself.
Usually you wil be able to judge the candidate by 2nd talk itself.
