1.0 Purpose: The purpose of establishing this procedure is to ensure identification of training needs and to provide training for personnel whose work affect product quality and environment. The purpose also includes empowering human resources through a process of motivation.
2.0 Scope: Applicable to all personnel in the organization covering QMS related trainings.

4.1 Considering the organization structure and needs, the competence requirements of personnel of the organization is maintained in the “Competence Matrix”.

4.2 Training Needs and Skills Plot:
A skill matrix plotted for an employee depicts the competence & skills possessed by the employee and as well as the area(s) in which he/she requires training. In case of a special requirement of training for a group /individual personnel, the same is identified and communicated to the Incharge Training/MR by the concerned department through training Need Identification form.
Specific design/development skills/tools as required for the organization are also identified in the “Skill Record” for the development and/or MDT personnel. Available Human Resource

4.3 Considering the “Skill Record” and the training needs identified, “Training Plan” is prepared
Whenever possible the “Training Plan” shall indicate plan for on-the-job trainings. On-the-job training shall focus on good practices, skills improvement and knowledge/awareness of after delivery effect of a quality problem or a non-conforming product.
The “Training Plan” decides the training schedule and a suitable faculty. Where external faculty is required the “List of External Faculties” is referred. Skill Record

4.4 The training schedule i.e. the training date, topic, venue, faculty and the expected participants is communicated to the concerned departments in advance preferably through a circular/IOM and the record of the same shall be maintained.
On-the-job trainings are also planned & executed based on requirements in the events of change of job responsibility and or new job responsibility. The training schedule for on-the-job training should include contractual personnel also. After the training different colours of cards will be issued to contractual labours to know the skill level of the personnel as per the work instruction. Training Plan

4.6 The training to personnel (class room / on-the-job) is recorded and maintained in the “Training Record” of the employee / contractual personnel, based on the card issuance Attendance Sheet

4.7 The effectiveness of training for every participant of the training activity is evaluated using a questionnaire or based on performance as appropriate. Result of evaluation of effectiveness is recorded and maintained in the “Training Effectiveness Monitoring Sheet”. Attendance Sheet

4.9 Process for Employee Motivation:
Valuable suggestions are collected through “Suggestion and Kaizen form” at all the levels.
The suggestions are evaluated and validated for implementation during every management review.
The best suggestion with successful implementation will be awarded suitably.
Also once in a year the employee satisfaction survey is conducted by considering the various factors and the actions are decided wherever required.
