Dear All,
I am Officer Hr in a reputed Company and am located in Guwahati.
My Query: An Employee of ours has retired in March 2007. At that Time She was out of the purview of Bonus Act, 1965. As result of the recent Amendments in the Bonus Act, She has become eligible for Payment of Bonus.
The thing here is that, she has attained superannuation & is no longer working with us. What should we do? Is her bonus Payable or Not?
If the answer is Yes, then the number of such cases would be very high (Including Resignations)
Hoping that you all would be able to help me out. Please suggest.
Thank you all, in advance.

Dear Mr.Susheel, The amendment under the Bonus Act came into effect from 01/04/2006. Whereas your employee retired on 31/03/2007. Hence, She is eligible for bonus. Regards, Murugavel.B Chennai
