Hi Roopa,

Will you please clearly explain me what exactly you are looking for?

If your company is an MNC and your Indian company is subsidiary company , then foreign company treated as unlisted company in India. If your company is NASDAQ listed , here it will be treated as unlisted company.

I am also attaching the FBT notification by Income Tax department.

Hey Thanks a ton Usha.
Let me briefly explain, Our's is a IT company & yes a MNC (HQ in Californa) & this is a subsidary which is registered under Karnataka Shops & commercial establishments act. Although the parent company is not listed so far we have been giving Pre IPO stocks to our employees. Some of them have been exercising the grants as & when they are vesting. My questions is would FBT be applicable on these stocks & if yes how?
Hope I was clear enough in explaining my query.
