ur PF will not go anywhwre, before leaving the organisation, take your PF account no. from finance/HR. You can either withdraw the same after submitting appropriate PF withdrawal form or, if the new company where you will join, has PF facility, you can give the same PF account no. All PF deductions from the new company will be deposited in this account i.e, no new account will have to be opened again for you.
hope this is of some help to you.

When you are leaving company you have two option for PF.
1. You can withdraw you PFUI and Pension amount by submitting Form 19 & 10C
Or
2. Take a PF NO from HR dept. and submit the same to New Company and transfer you PF and Pension Amount to New PF Number.

Actly, there is a recent amendment in this, I am not sure whether it is an amendment in the Act or just an amendment in the rules, but it is surely there.
As you know that your PF Shares goes into two accounts, EPF A/c (Employees Provident fund) and FPF A/c (Family pension fund).
If you leave ur job within 6 months, you will only get the amount in your EPF account, but NOT the amount in FPF account; ie you can fill only form No. 19.
Whereas if you leave ur job after 6 months you will get both the shares of your PF account, ie you can fill in Form 19 as well as Form 10C, or 10D whatever applicable.
I don't know why this wierd order has been passed but it is defenitly there and it is a recent amendment..
Cheers.

Yes Saritha, you are right.
every time you changes a Company you will get a new PF Number.
eg: PF number consists of at least 3 parts the state code, the employer code and the employee code.
example: DL-12345/01
in this DL is for Dehi, 12345 is the PF Code of the Company and 01 is the member's code or the employees code allotted by the Company.
As every compay has its own pf code there can not a common PF number of an employee if the change the company.
However, in a recent development, an SSN code is being allotted by the PF office to every employee which will act as his/her permanent PF account number no matter how many companies he or she changes, but it is still in its initial stage and will take another year or two to get complete.
hope this information helps you.
cheers..

Hi, Happy New year to all of you. I have a question. Can we withdraw our PF from the company any time we want? Or we can only do it only when we leave the company??
